Well, I finally got the camera out of the car. Talk about forgetful/lazy. So, here is our Fourth of July, a week late...
In the morning, we went to the church for a party. It started with some patriotic songs and stories followed by a bike/trike/scooter parade. The girls were very excited to be in the parade. They decorated their rides the night before and were just beside themselves for the morning to come.
Clara couldn't get going very well. She is getting too big for the ride along.
Abby is also getting to big for the tricycle We are working on getting her a bike but that's a different story for a different day.
I gave Abby star hair. It was really cute!
We decided to transform the ride-along into the pushtoy so she could get moving. Everyone thought she was cure running along.
There was a pancake breakfast and then the girls got their faces painted.
Then, there were some fun water games outside. The girls were absolutely sopping after going down the slip-and-slide a few times. They had a blast!
After lunch, we went to Sam's brother's house. The kids played with their cousins all day. The highlight was jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it.
We went to watch fireworks. It was Abby's first time seeing fireworks and she was thrilled. Clara and Grant fell asleep in the car on the way there so they missed out on the excitement. Maybe next year.
